    Yeah, totally possible. It just sounds silly. You can get a nice curl at the bottom of the hair using a straightener.

    Yep ditto =) it doesn't do a great job but I don't curl my hair often so it isn't worth buying curlers.

    A lot of flat irons now are even shaped in a way to achieve both straightening and waves/curls with the same iron.
