ReplyDeleteJet engines require an air-intake. There is very little air in space (mostly in nebulea, and that isn't very beneficial to a jet engine)
ReplyDeleteTherefore a jet engine just wouldn't "go" in space, which is why we currently use rocket engines which do not require air intakes.
